Tibetan Art of Dream Analysis June 16th – 17th 2023
Dr. Nida Chenagtsang
In the course for all those interested in the nature and meaning of dreams, we will learn about the importance of dreams, the mechanisms of their occurrence, their meanings, and their impact.
We will hear how Tibetan dream masters have been able to see the deep connection between the dream and the waking world for over a thousand years. Through them, we understand why night dreams can give clear signs of health warnings, and conflicts, or predict events that will potentially happen, be it someone’s death, birth, or events related to wealth and happiness, etc. We also learn to distinguish which dreams may be meaningful or prophetic, and which are just the relatively insignificant reflections of the everyday mind or our physiology.
In Tibetan medicine, the study of dreams is a very important aspect of diagnosis and making predictions, which doctors have used for a very long time. The goal of the course instructor, Tibetan physician Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, has been for people to gain a deeper understanding of how their dreams can heal us not only medically on a physical level, but also spiritually.
In the course, we learn:
What is a dream, important aspects of dreams;
The emergence of consciousness and its mechanisms of action;
The main components of sleep, on the basis of which dreams arise and manifest – the fine anatomy of our body, mind (consciousness) and their mutual connection;
The interrelationship between consciousness or the mind and the energy of the wind (rLung) that triggers it as an influence on dreams;
Mechanisms of dreamless sleep and dream formation; The connection between time and dreams (whether it is a dream related to the past, the current situation, or a dream referring to the future or possibly prophetic);
Different kinds of dreams in different kinds of people; Classification of dreams, dream symbols, and interpretation of dreams (colors, good and bad events either in a direct or opposite sense, dreams as an indicator of health status);
Possibilities of reducing the power of bad dreams and maintaining the potential of good dreams.
Tibetan Dream Analysis explains how Tibetan dream masters have been able to see the deep connection between the dream world and the waking world for over a thousand years. Through them, we understand why night dreams can give clear signs of health warnings, conflicts or predict events that are yet to happen, such as death, birth or harbingers of wealth and happiness.

Way from Jõõpre village to Men Ling Center
There is an “MEIE” store in the center of Jõõpre. It remains on the left hand when coming from both Tallinn and Pärnu. About 100 m from the store towards Lavassaare, a new kindergarten, and a schoolhouse stand out on the right. On the corner of the road, there is a SILVER OWL of stainless steel. From there, turn right.
You drive past the schoolhouse, over a small bridge and along the road straight ahead for a total of 1km until the road runs out in the field. All that’s left is to turn left under the Private Land sign and right after 30 meters. The yellow, red-stone-roofed house of the Tibetan Medical Center Men Ling stands out from a distance behind a spruce tree.
