Lhasa Incense
The recipe for Lhasa incense dates back almost 2000 years and has been continuously passed down to us by great masters and scholars such as: Nagarjuna, Zurkhar Lodoe Gjalpo, Dheumar Geshe Tenzin Phuntshok, Ven Khenrab Norbu.
Lhasa Aromatic Incense is used early in the morning, before any other aroma or fragrance. Incense brings stability and well-being. Protects against the effects of various evil spirits and infectious diseases.
Ingredients:
Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius), Rhododendron (Rhododendron sp.), Juniper (Juniperus sp.), Sandalwood (Santalum album), Red Sandalwood (Pterocarpus santalinus), and others.
How to Use: Light the incense stick with a lighter or longer burning match. When the open flame has gone out and the incense has remained smoldering, place it on a heat-resistant ash or sand pillow under the incense. You can also stick an incense stick upright in a pile of sand. Allow the incense to smoke in the base until it burns out, or extinguish the smoldering end in a pillow of sand.
